<blockquote><p>We have lingered in the chambers of the sea<br />
By sea-girls wreathed with with seaweed red and brown<br />
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.</p></blockquote>
<p>I have had the poetry of T.S. Eliot ringing around my head for the past few weeks, <em>The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock </em> in particular, I am living in his world of imagery, perhaps a blocking tactic, a longing for another place and time, a sea chamber, to be out of my element and protected simultaneously. I will be taking a break from my poor, neglected blog to concentrate on some family issues, it saddens me to bow out for the time being. I have also put my Etsy shop into vacation mode, hopefully it won&#8217;t be out of action for too long. I have gathered a few of my favourite things together for you below. I hope to see you all again before too long.</p>
<p>Evocative drawings from <a href="http://www.laurennassef.com/">Lauren Nassef</a> (seahorse above too).</p>
<p><img alt="" src="http://www.isaactobin.com/lauren/wp-content/uploads/finch-web4new.jpg" title="finch" class="alignnone" /></p>
<p><img alt="" src="http://www.laurennassef.com/wp-content/uploads/maned-wolf.jpg" title="maned wolf" class="alignnone" /></p>
<p><img alt="" src="http://www.laurennassef.com/wp-content/uploads/superstitious-man.jpg" title="man" class="alignnone" /></p>
<p>Do you think the Superstitious Man (above) was a mariner once?</p>
<p><img alt="" src="http://www.wirtzgallery.com/exhibitions/2009/2009_06/Spence/images/coyotes%20640.jpg" title="dogs" class="alignnone" /></p>
<p>Incredible work from <a href="http://www.wirtzgallery.com/bios/bio_spence_frame.html">Kathryn Spence</a>, I would love to see these pieces <a href="http://www.wirtzgallery.com/exhibitions/2009/2009_06/Spence/Spence_2009_frame.html">in person</a>. Inspiring!</p>
<p><img alt="" src="http://www.wirtzgallery.com/exhibitions/2009/2009_06/Spence/images/Nuttall's%20640.jpg" title="birds" class="alignnone" /></p>

<p>I do not think they will sing to me.</em></p>
