Here they are, The Polar Pack, please say hello to Arctic Fox in Spring, Black Lemming, Snowy Owl, Caribou, Ringed Seal, Musk Ox, Bearded Seal, Red Aurora, Arctic Hare and Ice Blink. They don’t have super powers, just a love for the Arctic and the ability to assume an alternate identity, well, that is pretty super I guess. These little guys are available exclusively at Schmancy from the 1st of March, the online store is here. Each member of the polar pack is one of a kind and will never be repeated. In fact Schmancy is the only place you can grab yourself a Fish Boy of any kind at the moment! You can read more about the gang in an interview I did with lovely Kristen over at Plush You. The lovely and super talented Miss Julia Pott has posted some wonderful pictures of herself with Mr Fish Boy over at Pop Apricot. It is heart warming to see him looking so content in his new home. Fish Boy is definitely eyeing up that doll, his glance appears to be returned too. Hmmmm, more hybrids about to be unleashed upon the world?!

**I am sorry that things have been so quiet here and elsewhere for a couple of days, I have been a little malade! One of those beginning of spring viruses I think. Ok, so he doesn’t have a mustache but he would probably do quite well in the circus. Velvet Fish Boy makes his debut in the Lou Lou & Oscar shop today. I am really happy with the switch to this new fabric, velvet seems to suit Fish Boy’s temperament and he is so lovely to stroke now! I was so amazed and stunned to see my Polar Fish Boy on one of my favourite design blogs today. Just look at the wonderful and incredibly talented company he is in (funny but I have my own Etsy round up ready to be posted tomorrow and a couple of the artists featured here are also included in my feature!). Nip on over to Design is Mine to say hello to us all.

I am hoping that my planned shop update happens today. I am a little behind with everything as usual and need to sort through the pictures from our photo shoot yesterday. We had to borrow some lights from Adam’s work so that we can get some usable images for Etsy. We have little daylight here at this time of year and we live in a cottage with tiny windows, we are lurking about in the gloom much of the time! We have no idea what we are doing with those lights, it is fun experimenting and we are lucky to have them. Come and visit a little later if you are free for the answer to this post’s tantalizing question!!!

More importantly go and take a look at Nina Invorm’s stunning blog. I came across this beautiful image in Nina’s Flickr photostream today which reminded me to go and check in with her latest posts. Everything Nina does is just perfect, she possesses the most enviable aesthetic sensibility. From gorgeous ceramics to the art of display, I am in a state of rapture when I look at Nina’s work. Phew, I guess I like it then!

Addendum: It appears to me that I am failing to do justice to the wonderful work I am mentioning here, Nina Invorm and Nicole of Astulabee being the most pressing examples. I am pretty much writing these posts ‘on the fly’, as things occur to me, with little planning or proper consideration. I do hope to return to the fantastic artists I have mentioned so briefly here over the past few days. I need a little more time to arrange my day so that my blog isn’t hurried over. Oh, I do sound whiny, sorry!
