A new season, new Cabbages & Roses. ‘New’ if I mean the same with a tiny twist, still they do what they do so well. Especially pattern design, Cabbages & Roses fabrics are luscious, but remember, only in small doses! I would love to wake up to that tree top view every morning, the three bears’ cottage I think!

Those stripy curtains are killing me! I am the queen of stripes, Ishi and me have a stripy club, you have to wear stripy tops to join, we have lots and lots.

Form over function but delightful to look at.

How wonderful it would be to gather my favourite kittens beneath that canopy for tea.

Sweet pom poms.

The outfit on the left for sure!

The perfect stripy. I may have to fork over for this one!

Cabbages and Roses fabric put to good use! You may remember this little bunny. The Lapin are so difficult to get ‘right’. I have a bag full of these little ones that somehow don’t look ‘right’ to me, I am not sure what is going to become of them. Does anyone else have a sad collection of not quite ‘there’ handmade items? What do you do with yours? I’d love to know.
Every now and then my eyes light upon images of a space I would love to call my own (given a few million quid of course!). My ultimate dream home is constructed around the bubbles of a lava field, but that is for another post, maybe next week. Today (last Saturday, slow poster!) whilst browsing on Remodelista I immediately fell in love with this Parisian apartment located in the former servants’ quarters of the Hôtel d’Hallwyl in Le Marais.

Let’s play ’spot the Ikea sofa bed’ in the image above!

I would love a space light enough to carry off this dark, sludgy colour palate. It works so well.

Fantastic Venetian Headboard.
When the owners are not in residence you can rent the apartment by the week. I am planning to plan (!) an uncharacteristically flag waving birthday celebration for myself next March, I may have to add this place to the list.

An unprepossessing terrace but it would look lovely at night dressed with lots of lanterns. I’m planning away!
The print that heads this post is from Artquirk on Esty.
I don’t often write much about myself on the LL&O blog (thanks to lovely Margie O (!) for the newly adopted abbreviation), but I did want to apologize for being out of touch with many of my wonderful friends over the past week or so. Things (so vague!) have been a little difficult here on the Island recently, I have over extended myself (makes me sound like an octopus!) and reached something of a nadir. Oh, I am under a grumpy Flump cloud alright. Even if I seem to have disappeared I am thinking of you and waiting for the glums to pass.
